Rare Silver Rings

Periodically we get a few rare finds through our coin connections.

These are almost always special orders. Otherwise they were a great find and could not be passed by.

The Barber coinage consists of a dime, quarter, and half dollar were minted between 1892 and 1916, The Treasury had initially planned to issue 91 million half dollars for 1964, the Mint had struck approximately 160 million pieces, yet the coin was almost never seen in circulation. Silver prices were rising, and the majority of the coins were being hoarded The British florin, or two shilling coin, was issued from 1849 until 1967, with a final issue for collectors dated 1970. The Seated Liberty Half Dollar, was the third variety of half dollar minted in the United States. Introduced in 1839, the coin was different from the Bust Half Dollar that came before. It remained in production into the late 1800s. The Franklin half dollar is a coin that was struck by the United States Mint from 1948 to 1963.
       
       
Fifty sen coins were first minted in 1870 during the reign of the Meiji emperor. Production of 80% silver coins stopped in 1917
